Honda Social Project - CT Recife
SDG 4 : Quality education, 8 : Decent work and economic growth
The Honda Professional Training course, carried out through the Honda Social Project, which contributes to the training of young people from the city of Recife (PE). The initiative, aimed at young people aged 18 to 20 years in a situation of social vulnerability, lasts 8 months and offers technical training in the vehicular area, following the pattern of courses given to the network of dealerships of the brand. The classes are held at the Honda Training Center in the capital of Pernambuco.
Since its inception in 2007, the program has benefited approximately 272 young people and presents participants an opportunity to enter the labor market. Today, some of the graduates of the Social Project Recife work at Honda dealerships in the region.

SDG 2 : Zero hunger
"Recíclame, cumple tu papel" is a social responsibility program of "SOS Children's Villages" and consists on donation of paper by companies. The amount of recycling of paper waste collected is sold and the money from selling is used to provide food to children and adolescents in custody of "SOS Children's Villages". During 96ki, Honda Peru donated almost 2 tons of waste paper to this program.
SDG 4 : Quality education, 12 : Responsible consumption and production
“Sustainable Circuit” takes place annually in different parts of Manaus city in the Brazilian state of Amazonas, bringing information and education about sustainability to people of different profiles, using a cheerful and inspiring approach to the theme. This year the event took place in July 2019 during 3 days (26, 27 and 28), and brought sustainability activities and attractions, held simultaneously in manylocations: parks, plazas and different public spaces with more than 109 volunteers supporting the event. All activities were free and open to the public. Honda sponsored the event with a donation of USD 10,564 and also carried out environmental education activities for the community through play activities for children and adolescents: environmental human board game, environmental memory game on endangered animals, painting vessels with delivery of floral seedlings and beach cleaning with participation of 550 children.
Safety Riding course - CETH unit
SDG 3 : Good health and well-being, 4 : Quality education
The Honda Safety Traffic Training Centers (CETH, in Portuguese) offer free trainings to motorcyclists with the objective of improving techniques in safe riding and to develop their skills in motorcycle riding in order to be able to face situations with greater safety and ease in transit.
CETH offers free pilot training to fleet companies and public agencies, such as police and firefighters, from all regions in Brazil and also from other countries in South America.
In 2019, more than 11,280 motorcyles were trainned by ours specialists, improving a safe traffic and enhancing the joy of use.
